Be comfortable, but not too comfortable
Another great tip for beating writer’s block is to make your level of comfortability a priority. The right chair, cushion, chair height, and even the room’s air conditioning will determine how creative one can be. Be comfortable, but not too comfortable that you’ll want to sleep while working.
If you can, you can set the room at a controlled temperature, or if you want fresher and a more open perspective, open your windows and let the light and air in. There’s also the case of music. Soft classical music is usually a great background, but if it’s too soft and jazzy, it will make you sleep. It can be pop, rock, or any genre, as long as it drives your mind to write. If you prefer quiet, then you can do that as well.

Every writer will have their own set of rituals or things they need to do to get creative again. Whether you want to sleep, walk for hours on end, eat a specific kind of junk food, or do a certain activity, don’t be afraid to lean in on what makes your body and mind get creative.
